Mr. Denis Couture

Denis Couture is a seasoned financial and corporate communications professional. He has developed solid expertise in the international arena and has spent more than 25 years working with several major corporations in Québec and Canada in a wide range of industries.

Prior to joining the Caisse, Mr. Couture was Senior Vice-President, Corporate and International Affairs, with Brookfield Asset Management, where he had also headed investor relations and communications. Earlier in his career, he held a variety of senior executive positions in communications, public affairs and government and investor relations, namely at Noranda-Falconbridge, Domtar and Air Canada. He was also a partner with NATIONAL Public Relations, where he managed the Canada-wide financial communications group. He started out as an economic journalist.

Mr. Couture has a law degree from the Université de Montréal.

Mr. Couture currently sits on the Board of Directors of the Canada-India Business Council. Over the years, he has also served on the boards of The Mining Association of Canada, the Association des industries forestières du Québec and the Canadian Red Cross, Québec Division.
