Mining India: Resources & Opportunity for the 21st Century

The Canada-India business council hosted an event for key decision makers in the mining industry held in conjunction with the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada. The event featured leading Indian and Canadian government officials and representatives of the Canadian mining industry. Mr. Anil Subramanium, the Indian Deputy Minister for the Ministry of Mines, discussed India’s new Mining Act, the future prospects for Indian industry under liberalization and the possibilities for Canadian participation in India. The event was held at the Delta Chelsea hotel in Toronto, Canada.
